RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains standby readiness at the airlock threshold during all external hull activities.
- Monitors vital telemetry of active EVA personnel via wireless uplink.
- Executes emergency retrieval protocols in the event of tether failure or suit depressurization.
- Performs routine inspections of safety tethers and pneumatic umbilical lines.
- Documents incident logs for every recorded excursion to ensure procedural compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possession of current VAC-100 certification for vacuum operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual rescue maneuvering within zero-gravity environments.
- Documented psychological stability screening for long-duration solitary standby.
- Visual acuity testing within established orbital safety parameters.
