RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains standby readiness at the airlock threshold during all external hull activities.
• Monitors vital telemetry of active EVA personnel via wireless uplink.
• Executes emergency retrieval protocols in the event of tether failure or suit depressurization.
• Performs routine inspections of safety tethers and pneumatic umbilical lines.
• Documents incident logs for every recorded excursion to ensure procedural compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of current VAC-100 certification for vacuum operations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual rescue maneuvering within zero-gravity environments.
• Documented psychological stability screening for long-duration solitary standby.
• Visual acuity testing within established orbital safety parameters.
