Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy governs paid purchases made on Offworld Careers (the "Site"), including Compute Ration packs, Expansion Kits, voluntary support contributions, and recurring memberships when offered. It supplements the Terms of Use and applies together with mandatory consumer-protection law in the purchaser's jurisdiction, including, where applicable, the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.

Compute rations are digital program units that meter real AI compute inside this platform (Inspector reviews, appellate rulings, tool invocations, and similar operations). They are delivered instantly and credited to the commission registered under your payment email. They are not currency, hold no value outside the Site, and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. Prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD); tax treatment is shown at checkout, and a tax invoice is issued automatically by email upon payment.

If a payment is captured but the corresponding rations were not credited to your commission (for example, due to a technical fault), you are entitled to a full refund or immediate crediting, at your choice. Contact us with your invoice number and payment email through the channels on the About page.

Because compute rations are digital content delivered and usable immediately upon purchase, the statutory right of cancellation for remote sales does not apply once delivery has been completed and consumption has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Notwithstanding the above: (a) if none of the purchased rations have been consumed, you may request cancellation within 14 days of purchase and receive a refund, less any cancellation fee permitted by law; (b) if rations were credited in error, duplicated, or mispriced, we will correct the ledger and refund any excess charge in full.

Payment processing is performed by SUMIT on a secured hosted page; the Site never receives or stores card details. The Site enforces idempotent crediting — a refreshed or replayed confirmation can never charge or credit twice. If you identify a duplicate or unrecognized charge, contact us before initiating a chargeback and we will investigate against the transaction ledger and the processor's records, and refund any error promptly.

Send a written request through the contact channels listed on the About page, including: the payment email, the invoice number (sent automatically to your email), the date and amount of the charge, and the reason for the request. We respond within 4 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through the payment processor.

Consumption of rations by program operations you initiated, adjudication outcomes you disagree with (including Inspector or appellate rulings), and adjustments to program mechanics under the Terms of Use are not grounds for refund. Rations balances may be corrected by the Site in the event of metering faults, and such corrections are made on the ledger rather than in cash, except where law requires otherwise.

The Site is a work of speculative fiction published for entertainment. Purchases of compute rations are real transactions for real AI compute within the platform; everything else — ranks, clearances, commissions, and program titles — is fictional and carries no monetary value. Nothing in this policy creates any employment, credential, or investment relationship.
